Remains in Office At the end of August Parliament voting, President Toomas Hendrik Ilves was re-elected for a second five year term of Office.

The outcome of the indirect Presidential election was not a surprise, as the Reform Party, the IRL and the Social Democrats, the latter the President’s former party, all had pre-announced their support for his candidacy.
