Support for Swedish language educationKulturrådet för den Svenska minoriteten i Estland has asked SCCE to distribute their request for the support of Swedish language education to Swedish speaking children in Tallinn's schools:

Kulturrådet för den Svenska minoriteten i Estland has started to work for Swedish language school education in Tallinn for children with Swedish connections and links. The education should be given 4 hours per week, from a beginners' level or from a level decided by actual demand. The aim is that the costs for this education should be covered by the school authorities in the community.

For the continued contacts with the city of Tallinn Uile Kärk-Remes, Chairman in Kulturrådet, needs to show to the authorities that there is a need for this education by giving names on minimum 10 children in need of education in the Swedish language.

If your child/children have this need, please contact Uile directly and give the following information:

- Name of child/children
- Age of child/children
- Name of the current school/kindergarten of your child/children
- Present language - knowledge of your child/children
- Address of the child/children
