SCCE took the opportunity to visit the recently opened Antonius Hotel last Friday and we also got the opportunity to take a look at the Athena Conference & Cultural Center and Restaurant Volga, located just around the corner of Antonius Hotel.

The new Antonius Hotel, the Athena Conference & Cultural Center and Restaurant Volga in Tartu are all part of Ammende Luxury Collection also including the well known Ammende Villa in Pärnu.

Antonius Hotel brought a luxury hotel venue to Tartu and is located at Ülikooli 15, just opposite the University. The hotel offers six Suites, three Double de Luxe, six Superior Doubles and one Single Room in a heritage protected building dating its history back to the 16th century.

The Art Deco styled Restaurant Volga was opened in 2007 and the same year the renovated and neighboring Athena Conference & Culture Center was reopened. Athena consists of three halls, where the biggest hall has a capacity for up to 300 persons seated in theatre style and up to 500 persons for receptions.

Welcomed by the staff of Ammende Luxury Collection our Friday SCCE-evening together took us on a tour through Antonius Hotel, the Athena Conference & Cultural Center and Restaurant Volga and ended with a classic dinner at Antonius Hotel's Atrium Restaurant Lumière.

It was indeed nice to meet SCCE's members from the Tartu area again and this evening we also had the pleasure to welcome Swedish and Estonian participants from the Tartu-based Baltic Defence College and Antoniuse Gild.
