image: Changes in Swedish passport application procedure Changes in Swedish passport application procedure

As of January 1st, 2014, it will no longer be possible to apply for a regular Swedish passport at the Embassy in Tallinn. This is also the case at the other Swedish embassies in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Swedish citizens in these countries will instead have to submit their applications at a passport authority in Sweden (i.e. a police station that issues passports) or at a Swedish Embassy that is still authorized to issue passports.

It will, however, still be possible to collect a passport that has been applied for in Sweden from the Embassy in Tallinn. The Embassy can also issue temporary (emergency) passports to Swedish citizens.
