Svenska Skolföreningen i Estland (The Swedish School Association in Estonia) has recently been formed. The association aims to offer Swedish speaking children and youths in Estonia supplementary Swedish language education.
The plan is to start up the lessons in early autumn this year and the children and youths will have Yvonne Leipalu as their teacher. Yvonne has Swedish as her native language and if necessary, the association will provide additional teachers having Swedish as their native language.
All parents having an interest in this supplementary Swedish language education for their children are welcome to become members of the association. Just contact the association’s chairman Rein Leipalu at: rein.leipalu[at]rele.ee. The annual membership fee is EUR 20 per family.
Membership in the association is not a prerequisite for Swedish-speaking children to take part in the education. However, for the association to get started it is important that as many families as possible cooperate and actively contribute to the association and its aim to offer an effective supplementary Swedish language education.
