Nordica and LOT Polish Airlines will begin a strategic cooperation Nordica and LOT Polish Airlines will begin a strategic cooperation

Nordica and LOT Polish Airlines will begin a strategic cooperation on 19 November 2016. We have been looking for a long-term strategic partner since the founding of Nordica. Now, by replacing Adria Airways with LOT Polish Airlines, we are exchanging a service provider for a strategic partner, with the aim of building a synergy-based platform. While we were only buying services from Adria Airways, the cooperation with LOT will be based on three pillars: we will buy their services; rent out a minimum of three aircrafts to LOT next year; and LOT will also acquire a 49% share of the Nordica subsidiary, Regional Jet. Next year, Nordica’s fleet will grow from six planes to nine as a result of this cooperation.

For the passengers already holding ticket on Nordica flight, the new partnership will not entail any practical changes – flights will be operated on Nordica aircraft and there will be no changes in the flights schedule. The passengers will also be able to continue earning Star Alliance bonus points. However, Nordica will start using the LOT Polish Airlines commercial platform and ticketing system.

Cooperation with LOT is excellent news for all passengers. It will allow us to complement the Nordica direct flights with more comfortable connections through Warsaw thanks to the LOT network. LOT operates an average of 200 flights per day to 60 destinations. LOT’s long haul flights to New York, Chicago, Toronto, Tokyo, Beijing, and Seoul, as well as to Los Angeles and Newark starting next spring, are serviced by the new Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

  • For flights during period 5-18 november 2016 tickets will remain the same. Original tickets issued on JP stock (165) are valid for travelling.
  • Check-in for flights departing during 5–18 November will take place either at the airport check-in counters, or via the Adria Airways check-in environment: www.adria.si/et/check-in/. Online check-in is not possible for flights departing from Vilnius, Trondheim, or Amsterdam. Self-service check-in kiosks can be used in Stockholm, Oslo, Trondheim, and Munich.
  • For flights departing from 19 November onwards, tickets issued on JP stock (165) shall be refunded and new ticket will  be issued on LO stock.
Check-in for flights from 19 November onwards take place at the airport check-in counters, or via the Nordica check-in environment https://www.nordica.ee/en/manage-my-flight-en-us/  From 19 November onwards, online check-in will be possible in all destinations.
