Welcome to apply for the Swedish Business Awards 2017 Welcome to apply for the Swedish Business Awards 2017

Estonian companies which believe in innovation, sustainability and corporate social responsibility are welcome to apply for the Swedish Business Awards 2017

The Swedish Business Awards enterprise competition was established in 2006. The competition is held in addition to Estonia also in Latvia and Lithuania. Its goal is, besides recognising local companies, to draw public attention to sustainability in business operations, and highlight innovation and the importance of corporate social responsibility. The competition is organised by the Swedish Trade and Invest Council and the Embassy of Sweden.

This year, Swedish Business Awards are given in three categories: the Sustainable Growth Award, the Technological Innovation Award, and the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The winners will be announced during an international conference to be held on 10 October at the Kumu Art Museum.

Companies that currently do not have any relations with Sweden are also welcome to apply. The competition helps companies to discover new business opportunities in Sweden as well as in Estonia. “The candidates from the last years’ Swedish Business Awards are setting good example not only for Estonian companies, but also for Swedish businesses. I warmly recommend Estonian entrepreneurs to aim towards the Swedish market, but even more - Estonian and Swedish companies to cooperate and jointly expand to new markets”, Ambassador of Sweden to Estonia Mr. Anders Ljunggren commented.

Until 14 September, companies can submit their applications via the official website at www.swedishbusinessawards.com.

In 2016, Coffee People was granted the Sustainable Growth Award.  Kristjan Lind, CEO and co-founder of Bikeep was recognised as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year. And the Competence Centre on Health Technologies (CCHT) was given the Technological Innovation Award.

The initiative is sponsored by Ericsson, Volvo Estonia, Telia, AJ Products and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
