image: SCCE welcomes Tuletorn Fond Foundation as a new member SCCE welcomes Tuletorn Fond Foundation as a new member

Focusing on the integration of young peoples’ unique personalities, Tuletorn is the Estonian partner organisation of the German foundation Leuchtfeuer (Lighthouse - Tuletorn). Being active in Estonia since 1999, Tuletorn cares for young people of both genders in cooperation with the German Leuchtfeuer foundation and offers the youth help based on all the possibilities prevailing in Estonia.

Tuletorn has a holistic view on young people with regard to their abilities, difficulties and living environment focusing on their abilities and problems. Taking the prevailing development stage into consideration Tuletorn offers pedagogic guidance at a cognitive, emotional and action-oriented level.

Based on the physical, psychological, social and cultural needs, an individual care plan is developed for each individual youth. The plan is continually revised as the intensive and personal care process is ongoing.

Tuletorn supports the youth in developing their perspectives of life. For instance by actively supporting a graduation for finding a profession, becoming independent, living on your own, developing hobbies as well as building up social competence and social relations.

The networking within Tuletorn makes it possible for the young persons to see his/her own person separately and in harmony with other young people in care as well as the Tuletorn staff within the framework of the individual measures. Common activities give the youth in care the possibility to try out their hidden abilities in activities like sports, music and handicraft in addition to the individual care.

Tuletorn’s individual support measures do not follow any uniform, rigid methodology. The care is an ongoing process where the long term goals continuously are checked and may be changed in case need arise; the structure of the care is decided by determining the overall goals in the continuous help plan discussions.
