Though there wasn’t any snow outside this year, it both looked and smelled like Christmas as SCCE’s members got together for the traditional Christmas Party at Meriton Grand Conference & Spa Hotel’s White Piano Bar.
Welcomed by SCCE’s Chairman Karolina Ullman, and a glass of glögg, we mingled and as the lights were dimmed, Lucia and her procession entered the hall performing the traditional Lucia songs and Christmas carols. Just like last year, it was Swedish language students from Tallinn’s Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium who are financing a study trip to Sweden by making December Lucia performances at companies and organizations in the Tallinn area.
On behalf of the SCCE Council I would like to thank the team at Meriton Grand Conference & Spa Hotel for a very nice set up of our Christmas Party, and my thanks also go to the students from Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium for creating us a true Christmas Spirit.
I would also like to give special thanks to Bosse Backman, Karin Martinsson and their colleagues at ICA Kvantum in Nynäshamn who was our supplier of the special Swedish Christmas delicacies this year, several of them coming from local farms at Södertörn, just south of Stockholm.
And last but not least, my thanks go to all participants for creating yet another December evening filled with a touch of a real Swedish Christmas.
Please enjoy the photos from the Christmas Party, and more pictures are available at the entry page of our website: www.swedishchamber.ee.
Sincerely,
Kristiina Sikk
