Everyone who passes Pikk 28 in Tallinn's Old Town can admire the magnificent facade of von Rosen's palace. Far fewer get the opportunity to go inside and experience the beautiful and very representative halls and rooms in the palace which, since 1994, is the Swedish Embassy.

The Embassy building, von Rosen's palace, has a fascinating history which goes back to the 1670's. In Hans Lepp's excellent book "Kort vägledning till svenskminnen i Estland" / "Rootsi mälestised Eestis. Lühike teejuht.", chapter 6 is devoted to the palace. The book is available online at the Swedish St. Michael's Church website in Swedish and Estonian language.
