Just like last year, SCCE ended up on 4th place in the International Chambers' Football Tournament powered by Danske Bank. And also like last year, the competition for the 3rd and 4th places was settled by penalties.
SCCE congratulates the British- Estonian Chamber, AmCham, and the Danish-Estonian Chamber to their first, second and third places. And of course, our big congratulations also go to our own fantastic team who actually won the group stage ahead of our opponents in the play off; BECC, DECC and AmCham!
This year, our team had players from SCCE's member companies Arvato, Big Bank, Brightway, DHL, Ericsson, eXprivia, mediamobile, NJ Production and Stoneridge: Pelle Lindberg (goalie and team captain), Allan Illipe, Valentin Naumov, Valentin Bnatov, Ruslan Makarov, Aleksandr Tsingisser, Pontus Hermansson, Jonas Olsson, Daniel Petterson, Björn Lundin, Emil Brorson and Stefano Maggioli.
Including SCCE, eight Chambers participated this year: AmCham, the British-Estonian Chamber (BECC), the Danish-Estonian Chamber (DECC), the Estonian Junior Chamber (JCI), the Finnish-Estonian Chamber (FECC), the German-Baltic Chamber (AHK-Balt) and Holland Business Club (HBC). This is how the tournament developed for SCCE at Maarjamäe Staadion: SCCE - DECC 2-1; SCCE - JCI 2-1; SCCE - AmCham 1-2; FECC - SCCE 0-3; BECC - SCCE 1-1; HBC - SCCE 0-6; AHK-Balt - SCCE 0-1; SEMI: SCCE - AmCham 1-1/3-4P; BRONZE: SCCE - DECC 3-4P.
- I have always strived for having players with a mix of experience and skills but also players that know what it means to play in a team. And that's what we did; we played as a team and supported each other in our different team roles! And, we all enjoyed the tournament's objectives; to have fun, enjoy sports, network, and promote a healthy life-style!, says SCCE's team captain Pelle Lindberg.
A tournament like this wouldn't be possible to carry through without sponsors and among SCCE's members, Danske Bank continued as the tournament's main sponsor and RIMI provided refreshment packages to all players. Västerbottensost provided a box of cheese to the winning team, and SEMU provided a box of sea buckthorn juice for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. And in an eye-catching orange tent, Ivar Miller offered a taste of both Västerbottensost and SEMU sea buckthorn juice and jam.
On behalf of the SCCE, I congratulate BECC to the gold, AmCham to the silver, and DECC to the bronze. And our congratulations go of course also to our own SCCE fighting spirited team and our fourth place in this year’s tournament.
Sincerely,
Kristiina Sikk
