The ivy on the medieval wall at Schlössle Hotel's Summer Garden Terrace usually tends to be green and lush this time of the year. Not so this rather chilly June 4th Thursday evening when SCCE's members gathered for the traditional Summer Party. However, nothing stops a SCCE party and as usual, our members created yet another Summer Party evening filled with warm and cozy togetherness!
Once again, I was happy to welcome members not only from Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu but also from Sweden. Just as it should be in our Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Estonia.
Welcomed by a glass of wine, we mingled and got together before it was time to become acquainted with the summer buffet that waited for us.
Following the, by now, well established SCCE standards, we were offered a wide selection of Swedish and Estonian summer delicacies; a variety of inlagd sill (marinated herring), salads, specialties spiced with Västerbottensost, grilled meat, cakes and much more. And of course, a selection of Swedish nubbe including Absolut and O. P. Andersson to go along with the sill.
As our evening together went on, Kaspar ja Tambur entered and entertained us with a wide selection of Traditional World Music. It was indeed a repertoire of evergreens and several tables filled in by singing along.
On behalf of the SCCE Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Schlössle Hotel for a very nice Summer Party set up. My thanks also go to Kaspar ja Tambur for the music and to all SCCE members for creating yet another very warm, cozy and nice evening.
Sincerely,
Kristiina Sikk
