No snow outside this year either, but again it looked and smelled like Christmas as SCCE got together for the Chamber's traditional Christmas Party at Radisson BLU Hotel Olümpia.
I was happy to welcome several new SCCE members during our get-together glögg-mingle, and as we all sat down, the lights were dimmed and Lucia and her procession entered performing the traditional Swedish Lucia songs and Christmas carols. Again, the procession was composed of Swedish language pupils from Tallinn’s Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium.
On behalf of the SCCE, I would like to thank Radisson BLU Hotel Olümpia for an excellent set up of our Christmas Party, and my thanks do indeed include Olümpia's Executive Chef Andres Rahula and his team for creating a delicious Swedish Julbord (Christmas Buffet). With the support of Tallink, a lot of Swedish Christmas delicacies could be brought to Tallinn just before our party for Andres to make the final preparations. Additional highly appreciated support to our Julbord was provided by Lindvall's Kaffe, Västerbottensost and Veinipood.
My thanks also go to HEMTEX who, together with Radisson BLU Hotel Olümpia, put up the prizes to our Christmas Raffle. HEMTEX also contributed with traditional Christmas decorations to our tables, and the additional beautiful table decorations were handmade by Aiaidee's Evely Karvak.
Last but not least, again my thanks go to all our members for creating yet another start of the Festive Season filled with a true touch of a real Swedish Christmas.
Sincerely,
Kristiina Sikk
