Introduced by Janar Sutt, Business Sweden’s Country Manager and Ambassador Anders Ljunggren, Estonia’s Prime Minister Jüri Ratas held the opening remarks at this year’s Swedish Business Awards Ceremony at KUMU Art Museum, Tuesday 10 October.

- Sweden keeps its longtime position as the biggest foreign direct investor in Estonia. And, Sweden also keeps its position as Estonia’s biggest export market, said Jüri Ratas.

Following an address by Oscar Stenström, State Secretary to the Swedish Minister for EU Affairs and Trade, Janar Sutt presented the 2017 Winners of the Swedish Business Awards:


Young Entrepreneur of the Year:

Kristel Kruustük, Tesliois an entrepreneur in its truest form, noticing a problem and taking the
initiative to tackle it. By finding a growing niche market, this young entrepreneur has become a respected player on a global scale. She is an inspiring role model for hundreds of women who wish to work with technology and dream about becoming entrepreneurs.


Technological Innovation of the Year:

Protex Baltiis a company which has shown great care for contributing to a safer working environment. The innovation has successfully connected academic research with
partners and turned scientific approach into practical products.


Sustainable Growth of the Year:

InCap Electronicsis an international company with a strong local engagement. They have demonstrated true commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices with regards to lean manufacturing, commitment to local education system and community development. The winner is an inspiring example to all of the companies in Estonia with its never-give-up attitude and community engagement initiatives.
