image: The Third SCCE Tennis Tournament The Third SCCE Tennis Tournament

Welcomed by Märten Tamla, coach at the Tallink Tennis Centre in Tallinn, 16 players gathered for the third SCCE Tennis Tournament Thursday evening, 11 June.

This year we could also welcome members from the Danish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce and all players were divided in doubles teams:

Sulev Alajõe – EAS & Julia Rahula – Greencarrier; Per Lindberg – Stoneridge & Peeter Poom – Metroprint; Rafet Peksen – Inission & Evelin Poom – Metroprint; Mati Nõmmiste - Grant Thornton & Anu Adra-Entsik - Riigikogu Kantselei; Mart Nõmper - Grant Thornton & Norbert Lechenmayer - Calle Estonia; Jonas Heinonen – Boomerang & Kristi Sisa – Nasdaq; Henrik Hald - Candeo Stones & Meelis Linke – Boomerang; Janno Äniline – Levira & Janar Sutt – Briox.

Once again there were tight games played and the Tournament was won by Team Per Lindberg & Peeter Poom who each got a statuette created by the Estonian artist Tauno Kangro. Team Henrik Hald & Meelis Linke came second and Team Sulev Alajõe & Julia Rahula took the third place.

Due to the coronavirus, this year’s Tournament also marked the first time we could meet in real life since almost 4 months. The latest previous SCCE public event was the 20 February afternoon seminar on Artificial Intelligence, arranged in cooperation with Telia and the University of Tartu, and the months since then has been filled with webinars and virtual online meetings.

On behalf of the SCCE, I would like to thank Janar Sutt for taking the initiative to yet another Tennis Tournament and Märten Tamla for supervising the Tournament and being our referee.

My thanks also go to our prize table supporters Büroomailm, Calle, Kruger Wineshop, Oriflame, Semu and Stoneridge.

Last but not least, my thanks go to all tennis players, and SCCE’s Tennis Tournament will indeed be back next year again!
