There are some events that not even the coronavirus can change - especially during the first week of September. On Tuesday 1 September the Estonian schools started. And, two days later on Thursday 3 September, the Autumn Business Season was Kicked-Off with SCCE’s traditional Crayfish Party.
This year we gathered at Rannarahva Muuseum – the Museum of Coastal Folks in Viimsi and started up outdoors with a welcome drink based on SEMU Buckthorn Juice. As a light rain started to fall, we brought our drink, beer, wine and Svenska Nubbar and went inside to the Crayfish Party Buffet.
Supported with some recipes from Teet Laur, Head Chef at the Embassy of Sweden in Tallinn, our event partner Catering Service had put together a real First Class Crayfish Party Buffet including Salads with Dressings, Salmon with Hovmästarsås, Knäckebröd and, mandatory at every real Swedish Kräftskiva; Västerbottensost and Västerbottensostpaj.
As always it became a very nice, cozy and high spirited evening and on behalf of the SCCE, I would like to thank the teams at Rannarahva Muuseum and Catering Service for a great set up of our Crayfish Party. My thanks also go to Västerbottensost in Burträsk, Sweden and to Teet Laur, Tallink, SEMU Juice and Veinipood for all their contributions to the party. Last but not least, my thanks also go to all fantastic participants for making yet another SCCE Kräftskiva take off and become the Autumn Business Season Kick-Off!
Sincerely,
Kristiina Brodén - SCCE Ombudsman
