PÖFF 2019: Films and a Conversation on the Why & How of Diversity PÖFF 2019: Films and a Conversation on the Why & How of Diversity

PÖFF 2019 – this year’s Black Nights Film Festival – is as usual filled up with films from all over the world and members of the SCCE have a discount to the screenings. Furthermore, the Embassy of Sweden will host a Sunday 24 November Conversation on how to crack the nut of making the film industry more gender-balanced.

To get the PÖFF 2019 discount, SCCE members will need a code which will be provided by contacting SCCE’s Ombudsman Kristiina Brodén (kristiina@swedishchamber.ee). Several of the films screened this year are Swedish and you will find them, and all other films, listed at poff.ee.

The Sunday 24 November Conversation on the Why & How of Diversity is arranged by WIFTI - Women in Film & Television International – and will cover different perspectives and daring ideas on how to address inequality that might lead even beyond gender and film.

This event is hosted by Ambassador Mikael Eriksson and will take place in his residence at the Embassy of Sweden, Pikk 28, Tallinn, on Sunday 24 November between 16.00 – 18.00. Refreshments and snacks will be served and you need to register for this free-of-charge event with SCCE’s Ombudsman Kristiina Brodén (kristiina@swedishchamber.ee) as soon as possible and by Thursday 21 November latest.

On behalf of the SCCE, the Embassy of Sweden and PÖFF, I wish you a very nice and exciting Black Nights Film Festival 2019 as well as an interesting Sunday 24 November Conversation.

Sincerely,

Kristiina Brodén – SCCE Ombudsman
