Despite the pandemic, SCCE could look back at an active past year as we met for the General Assembly 2022 on Wednesday, 16 March. It was the first time in two years that we could meet face-to-face for the Assembly, and this year the proceedings were conducted at NJORD Law Firm in Tallinn’s Telliskivi Creative City.
Out of the 32 events being organized last year, 18 were arranged in a person-to-person set-up (among them SCCE’s traditional and classic Summer Party and Kräftskivan/The Crayfish Party, as well as Business Seminars and the annual Tennis Tournament). The remaining 14 events took place in a webinar format, several of them in cooperation with other Swedish Chambers of Commerce abroad as well as the Nordic Chambers in Estonia.
2022 has begun in an equally active way. During the first two and a half months this year, 6 events have been arranged, among them the Team Sweden 2022 Kick-Off at the Ambassador’s Residence at the Embassy of Sweden.
The reports on SCCE’s activities, finances and audit for 2021, as well as the budget proposal for 2022 were all approved by the Assembly.
Furthermore, the General Assembly elected SCCE’s Council for 2022 to include: Evelin Allas – SEB, Andreas Engberg – Ericsson, Maria Karlström – Volvo Trucks Estonia, Kadri Land – Tallink Grupp, Per Lindberg – Stoneridge Electronics, Hanna Lodin – Embassy of Sweden, Mart Nõmper - Grant Thornton Baltic, Janar Sutt – Baltic Consulting Team, Otto Pukk – Incap and Karolina Ullman - NJORD Law Firm.
A special warm welcome to Hanna Lodin and Otto Pukk who have now joined the Council. And, an equally warm thank you to Henrik Grudemo and Tendo Lindvest for their contributions to SCCE’s Council during 2021.
Following the proceedings, Ivar Miller - Auxner was elected as SCCE’s Auditor.
I would like to thank all SCCE’s members who participated, either personally or by letter of appointment, in this year’s General Assembly. The upcoming spring will be filled with activities, ranging from seminars and parties to sports, and I do look forward to seeing you.
Sincerely,
Kristiina Brodén - SCCE Ombudsman
