We had a very interesting and fascinating Thursday afternoon, 20 April, as members of SCCE visited Fors MW in Saue.
Ulrica Fors, Fors MW’s CEO, gave us a personal and open-hearted presentation of the company’s history which began with her father, Leif Fors, founding Fors MW already in 1992. Ulrica is thus the second generation of the Fors family leading the company.
- Today we develop and manufacture trailers and equipment for forestry, agriculture and construction works under the brand names FARMA and BIGAB. With a network of 250 dealers all around the world, 99,9% of our production goes on export with Sweden, Germany and Canada as our biggest markets, said Ulrica before she took us on a tour in the large production premises.
A full report on Fors MW’s journey through the years and on our visit will follow in the coming summer issue of focus – the magazine of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Estonia.
On behalf of the SCCE and all participants, I would like to thank Ulrica for a very interesting and fascinating company visit, and an equally interesting, and also exciting, concluding discussion on the pros and cons of being a manufacturing industry in Estonia.
Sincerely,
Kristiina Brodén – SCCE Ombudsman
