Networking at its best takes place when good people come together to collaborate in a cozy and creative atmosphere.
All of this happened on Cinnamon Bun's Day, Wednesday, October 4th, when our members gathered at the Swedish St. Mikael's Church to bake cinnamon buns.
Patrik Göransson and Tönis Kark, priests at the Swedish St. Mikael's Church, welcomed us and provided access to the church's well-equipped kitchen.
We had a large and beautiful dough ready to work with, which had been prepared by Teet Laur, the Chef with a good knowledge of Swedish Cuisine and it was incredibly smooth to work with, just as a Swedish kanelbulle (cinnamon bun) dough should be.
To keep our energy up during the cooking, we enjoyed some Swedish delicacies, including Teet's Gubbröra (Swedish old man's potato salad), Västerbottensost (cheese), and Leksands Knäcke (crispbread).
Of course, we concluded our baking adventure with a cup of coffee and the fruits of our labor – a large pile of Kanelbullar (cinnamon buns). It was indeed a true fika!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Patrik Göransson, Tõnis Kark, and Karin Berg at the Swedish Church for their excellent cooperation in organizing our baking adventure and for allowing us to use the Church's kitchen.
Our sincere gratitude also goes to Teet Laur for providing us with the dough and all the necessary ingredients for authentic Cinnamon Buns.
Last but not least, we thank all participants, including Ester (15 years old) and Stella (6 years old), for making this afternoon on Cinnamon Bun's Day a truly enjoyable experience.
