Welcome to join SCCE’s one day bus tour to the 2013 revived edition of the Estonian-Swedish Song and Dance Festival in Haapsalu, Sunday June 9t

The last Festival was arranged in 1933 and this year, the Estonian-Swedish Culture Council and the Aiboland Museum have taken the initiative to revive the Festival.


80 years ago, the Estonian-Swedes were inspired by the Estonian Song Festival, the Laulupidu which at that time had been organized ten times, and decided to arrange their own Festival including singing, folk dances and handicraft.


The revived 2013 edition of the Estonian-Swedish Song and Dance Festival will pick up the tradition of 1933 in a contemporary format and SCCE will arrange a one day bus tour to the Festival with the following program:


Sunday, June 9th 2013


10.00    Departure with bus from Radisson Blu Hotel, Rävala 3, Tallinn

12.00    Arrival in Haapsalu just in time for the Song and Dance Festival   Parade to the Haapsalu Castle’s Courtyard

13.00    The Estonian-Swedish Song Festival

15.00    Picnic

15.30    The Estonian-Swedish Dance Festival

17.00    End of the Festival and departure with bus to Tallinn

19.00    Arrival to Radisson Blu Hotel, Tallinn
