Very welcome to an afternoon Business Seminar, jointly arranged by the Finnish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, where our speakers, Tiina Helenius and Karsten Staehr, will focus on this autumn’s key economic themes:


- Tiina Helenius presents this autumn’s key macroeconomic themes and what they mean for an investor.

Tiina is chief economist at Svenska Handelsbanken in Finland. She is an established specialist in the business cycles of the Nordic economies and is also extensively following the global economy. In Handelsbanken’s team of economists, Tiina participates in producing the banks’s macroeconomic and financial forecasts.


- Karsten Staehr comments on this year’s Nobel Prize Laureate in Economics, Richard Thaler’s contributions to behavioural economics: Is Homo Economicus human after all?

Karsten is a professor of international and public finance at Tallinn University of Technology and also a part-time research advisor at Eesti Pank, Estonia’s Central Bank. Since several years, he is also contributing to SCCE’s magazine focus where he comments on each year’s Nobel Prize Laureate/s in Economy.


Date and time: Thursday 23 November at 16.00 – 18.00

Venue: The Senso Banquet Hall at Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia, Liivalaia 33, Tallinn. Snacks and coffee/tea will be served.

Cost: Free of charge for members of FECC and SCCE. Non-members € 25 per person plus VAT
