Since October 2008, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) has regularly recorded new protectionist measures taken by its members. Adding fuel to the trend, the coronavirus has emerged as perhaps the most serious challenge to globalisation and cross-continent/country commerce, trade and investments.

These issues will be discussed at a 30 September webinar organized by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce to the UK and within the cooperation format Swedish Chambers International.

Moderated by Nik Gowing - Director and Founder of Thinking the Unthinkable and a former BBC news anchor, the webinar speakers will include: David Cairns, Former UK Ambassador to Sweden and VP Political and Public Affairs at Equinor UK, Mats Persson, Former Chief of Staff to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and former Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, and Anna Stellinger, Deputy Director General, Head of International and EU Affairs at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

Date and time: Thursday 30 September, 11.30 – 12.30 (Estonian time)

Cost: Free of charge for SCCE Members

Registration: Please register as soon as possible and by Friday 24 September latest;, (+372) 501 9813.
